What Is the Detachable Cleaning Module?

The module is a complete M400 cleaning module that mounts under the DJI Matrice 400 airframe and turns it into a drone pressure washer for vertical surfaces. Installation takes less than 5 minutes and requires no modification to the aircraft. The FC100 uses its own dedicated solar cleaning module; the two are not interchangeable, and the ground high-pressure pump unit is shared while the module mounting differs by aircraft.

Because it is a payload rather than a rebuilt aircraft, one M400 can keep flying inspection or mapping missions on weekdays and switch to cleaning when a facade contract starts — the airframe investment keeps working all year.

The Numbers Behind the Module

The cleaning APP runs on the drone’s own DJI remote controller — single-controller operation, no extra control terminal. Operators configure horizontal flight speed, spray gun swing range, swing speed and vertical movement speed, then the system cleans automatically along the planned route.

• 80 m lightweight hose as standard, rated for acid and alkali exposure, covering most mid- and high-rise buildings.

• Ground pump unit from 3,500 W (IP55), fed by a fire hydrant, tap connection or water tank; a generator or EV output runs it where mains power is unavailable.

• Working pressure at the glass surface is held between 3.0 and 4.5 bar and adjusted by facade material — safe for coated and Low-E glass, with a pure-water final rinse to prevent streaks.

What a Working Day Looks Like

A two-person crew — one pilot, one ground operator — typically cleans 5,000 to 6,000 square meters of glass curtain wall per day, roughly three to five times faster than a rope access team on the same building. Nobody leaves the ground: the drone carries the spray gun while the ground system supplies water and pressure, so there is no suspended-work exposure and no scaffold or lift rental.

1, How much pressure does it produce, and will it damage glass?
The pump delivers a peak of 160 bar (20 MPa) at the water line. At the glass surface, working pressure is held between 3.0 and 4.5 bar and adjusted by facade material, which is safe for coated and Low-E glass. A final rinse with pure water prevents streaks.

2, Do I need a separate controller or pilot for cleaning?
No. The smart cleaning APP installs on the drone’s own DJI remote controller, and after parameters are configured the system performs automatic cleaning along the preset route.

3, How high can it clean?
The standard 80 m hose covers most mid- and high-rise buildings. For taller towers, send us the building height and we will confirm the pump and hose configuration.

4, What ground equipment do I need?
A high-pressure pump of at least 3,500 W (IP55) plus a water source such as a fire hydrant, tap connection or water tank. The module works with clean water by default; detergent is optional and not included.
